Two dominating pitching performances highlighted this Saladino Tournament Championship game that ended with Alonso winning over Jesuit 1-0. 2016 INF/OF/RHP Peyton Woble threw six innings giving up no runs on five hits for the Ravens, and 2015 LHP and Wake Forest Signee Bobby Hearn threw six innings giving up one unearned run on four hits for the Tigers. 2017 LHP/OF and Florida commit Jordan Butler closed the game for the Ravens and gave up no base runners and struck out one.
The only run of the game came in the bottom of the fourth when 2016 OF and Florida State commit Ryan Mejia led off the inning with a walk, was sacrificed over to second, stole third, and was able to score on a throwing error by the catcher. The only player with more than one hit for either team was 2017 INF and Florida commit Jose Ciccarello who went 2-3 and was named the MVP of the Saladino Tournament.
