This week’s 2017 Player Spotlight is Estero HS LHP Nate Gillen. At 6-foot-3 165 pounds, Gillen has a lanky frame. With a loose arm action, Gillen has a fastball that ranges from 81-84 mph. In his freshman year for Estero High School’s varsity squad, he had a 2.46 ERA, picking up 6 wins and struck out 36 in 42.2 innings. Gillen has committed to Florida Gulf Coast University.
