This week’s 2015 player spotlight is on St. Francis’ catcher Blaise Maris. With a 5-foot-11 195 pound frame, Maris has the strong build needed for behind the plate. The switch hitting catcher shows power and bat speed from a compact swing receives the ball well behind the plate. This past season Maris hit .528 with 25 RBI and 9 doubles. Maris has committed to High Point University.
