The Colorado Fall Prospect Games will be held October 1st and 2nd at Highlands Ranch High School.  Participants from the classes of 2020-2017 will participate in a pro-style workout and games for the PBR Colorado Staff.  Over the next few weeks we will introduce you to several of the participants, continuing our look is 3B/OF, Brett Pendleton, Legend High School (2018).

PBR:  Describe yourself as a baseball player to those who have never seen you play:
Pendleton:  I am a player with good base running skills, good hands in the infield, and a line drive hitter.

PBR:  What would be your dream school to play baseball at?  If you have already committed to play at the next level, why did you choose that particular school?
Pendleton:  My dream school to play baseball at would be at Simpson College.

PBR:  What are your best assets on and off the field at this point in your high school career?
Pendleton:  My best assets include being a coachable, competitive, hardworking, and determined person.

PBR:  What is the best baseball advice you have received and try to follow to this point in your career?
Pendleton:  The best baseball advice I have received is when I had my High School coach tell me that in baseball you need to be able to have a short memory about the good and the bad.

PBR: What does your off-season routine look like to prepare for the upcoming season?
Pendleton:  My off-season routine includes playing long toss on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. I also lift and do batting practice everyday. I also play football so I am consistently conditioning.

PBR:  What are your superstitions or routines that go on during a season?
Pendleton:  Before every time I go up to bat I put a piece of gum in my back left pocket, and chew one before I go on-deck.

PBR:  What are your goals for:

This Season: This season I want to be a leader and starter on my High School’s varsity team.

Two Years: In two years I want to be playing at the collegiate level for baseball as a third baseman or outfielder.

Four Years: In four years I want to be a starter and leader on my college team.
