Team: Resurrection Christian

CHSAA Class: 2A
Head Coach: Grant MacAlmon
Playoff Run: Won the 2A State Championship
2014 Final Rank: 44

Nathan Wiggins, OF/RHP, 2016

X-FACTOR:
The Cougars lose 91 dominant innings, 176 strikiouts, and 14 wins from graduated pitchers Cory Wiggins and Jake Lohr, and their battery mate Del Chance Richardson. Though the Cougars have a strong core coming back it will be interesting to see how they will replace that type of leadership on the field.

PLAYER TO WATCH:
Nathan Wiggins was 2nd Team All-State his sophomore season, and looks to help fill the void left with seniors Cory Wiggins, Jake Lohr, and Del Chance Richardson graduating.

KEY PLAYER LOST:
Jake Lohr: Garden City C.C.

STAT RAT:
In the 2014 2A playoffs Resurrection Christian outscored their opponents 55 to 6.

BOTTOM LINE:
In the above mentioned "X-Factor" and "Stat Rat" you can see some of the success the Cougars had in 2014. The reality is they still have a strong core of experience coming back in 2015. It starts with Luke Mondt (2015). In 2014 Mondt hit .510, had 9 doubles and 25 RBI's in just 51 at-bats. Outfielders Caleb Robbins and Nathan Wiggins come back also. In 2014 Robbins hit .417 and stole 12 bases. Wiggins hit .400 with 7 doubles and 17 RBI's. On the mound the Cougars still bring back 5 pitchers with 50 total innings of experience in Jake Tomcheck (21 IP, 31K's, 3-0, 2.62 ERA), Koby Bishop, Colton Webb, Wiggins and Mondt. With the experience the Cougars still have returning in 2015, there is no reason to not believe the Cougars will be in position to defend their 2A title.
