Over the next week we are going to release the PBR All-Colorado Team one player at a time. The team will consist of 13 players(3 OF, 4 INF, C, 3 Pitchers, UTIL, DH) and a coach. The first player of the series was Sophomore OF Wyatt Featherston of Green Mountain. The next player is Junior OF Cole Anderson of Rocky Mountain High School.
COLE ANDERSON (JUNIOR): OF, ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH SCHOOL.
As a junior Anderson set the table all year for the 5A state champions Rocky Mountain Lobos. Anderson hit .494 on the season, leading 5A with 37 runs, and Cole also led the Lobos with 14 doubles, 13 SB, and a .574 OBA. Cole also had an impressive OPA at 1.362. The speedy outfielder also played his best during the 5A state championship run. In 7 playoff games and 21 AB's Anderson hit .523 in the playoffs accounting for 9 runs, 2HR, and 7RBI's. Cole will another player to watch in 2015.
WYATT FEATHERSTON (SOPH): OF, GREEN MOUNTAIN HIGHSCHOOL
As a sophomore, Wyatt was an integral member for the 4A state champion Green Mountain Rams. Featherston had Triple Crown type numbers leading 4A in Home Runs (8), RBI's, (38) and Runs (49). Wyatt also posted a .439 BA, .617 OBA, and was 4th in 4A in slugging at a gaudy .975. In the state playoffs, Wyatt hit .421 with 2 HR, and 9 RBI's, which included going 2-4 with a 2B, HR, and 3 RBI's to help the Rams beat Niwot 10-2 in the state championship game proving he can perform on the big stage. Only a sophomore, we look forward to watching the strong hitting OF continue to grow.
