The Boras Foundation announced the 16-team field for the 2018 Boras Baseball Classic of Arizona Tuesday. It will take place March 14-17 at Corona del Sol HS, AZ, and Arcadia HS, AZ. Five states—Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah—will be represented in the event. The 16 participating teams include:

Basic Academy, NV
Catalina Hill HS, AZ
Cienega HS, AZ
Corona del Sol HS, AZ
Coronado HS, NV
Legend HS, CO
Liberty HS, AZ
Mesa Mountain HS, AZ
Mountain Pointe HS, AZ
Perry HS, AZ
Piedra Vista HS, NM
Queen Creek HS, AZ
Red Mountain HS, AZ
Skyridge HS, UT
Sunrise Mountain HS, AZ

The original Boras Classic features two tournaments, one in Northern California and one in Southern California, with the winner of each facing off in a definitive championship game. The Arizona edition debuted in 2017 with Basic Academy taking the title. Basic Academy has also won back-to-back 4-A state champiomships in Nevada.

The Boras Classic is a bracket-style tournament and the championship will be played March 17 at Arcadia. Each team is guaranteed four games. The full bracket will be made available at the Boras Classic web site in early 2018.
