Q & A with Hunter Strong University of Central Arkansas

Coming off a good junior year where, Hunter Strong hit over 400 and was one of the consistent leaders for Sheridan. We discuss the recruiting process and why he committed to University of Central Arkansas among other topics.
PBR: Ultimately, why did you choose the University of Central Arkansas?
Strong: I chose UCA because it is a perfect fit. From the moment I stepped onto the campus and talked to the coaches I knew this is where I belonged. I love the campus, coaches, and location of the school.
PBR: Where did they first see you compete?
Strong: They first saw me compete at their annual Intense Hitting Fall Camp.
PBR: When did you take your first official visit University of Central Arkansas?
Strong: October 10, 2014 was my first official visit to the college.
PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?
Strong: The coaches expect me to compete for playing time coming into the season.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Strong: I considered SAU, ASU, and Wichita State University.
PBR: Who did you play for this summer? Talk about your experience playing for them?
Strong: I played for the Rawlings Prospects this summer, and I had an absolute blast. I played great competition with great players as my teammates. We won, got better, and had fun all at the same time.
PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?
Strong: My dad because he has been my coach my whole life. Without him I would not be where I am today as baseball player or person.
PBR: What were your stats for your High School last spring?
Strong: I had 50 hits with a batting average of .490, an on-base percentage of .555, 43 RBI's, and 23 stolen bases in 31 games.
