RHP Ryan Rasmussen (Cedarburg, 2026) is an upside right-hander who authored one of the louder ‘pens from the past weekend. Standing at an imposing and still projectable 6-foot-3, 202-pound frame with substantial arm talent. Rasmussen ran his fastball up to 89.6 mph while mostly sitting in the upper-80s throughout his ‘pen with two offspeed pitches that both offer swing-and-miss upside. First, a sharp slider that he threw in the mid-70s that averaged -15.7 inches of sweep that he was able to locate in and around the zone. Second, a heavy fading changeup that sat in the low-80s that fell off with 17.7 inches of run. Rasmussen broke out as one of the ascending arms in the state and will be one to monitor going forward.
11/16/22
Rasmussen is listed at 6-foot-2, 170 pounds, and he’s another ultra-projectable prospect in this 2026 class. In our looks, Rasmussen features a smooth, repeatable delivery from a lower ¾ slot and has been up to 79 mph. He has also shown a sweeping type breaking ball for strikes, too. With his long levers and easy operation, there is a lot to hope for from this young prospect.
6/11/22
Projectable frame, long levers, repeatable delivery from low 3Q slot, full arc with on line arc, quickness to arm, release works out in front, FB 77-79 with finish through hitting zone, 65-66 slurve with sweep across zone.
