10/7/18

5-foot-10, 155-pound, average athletic frame, with room for advancement. Top tool are his legs and overall defensive game. Defensively, footwork is under control through the baseball, is accurate and clean. Fields from the ground up, hands are soft, funnels them into the transfer, good rhythm, tempo and flow. The arm action has average length for an infielder, works out of a high ¾ slot. The arm was clocked at 76 mph, has enough strength to stick on left side. The starts and feeds are smooth and performed correct. At the plate, the swing is short and quick, path is level to up, rolls the hands late. The barrel stays in the zone a long time, has some flick and whip out front. The approach is more middle to opposite, had a tee exit velocity of 83 mph. Runs above average, ran a 4.27 on a dig to first, easy strides. Look for him to take off in college, under the radar type guy, good future.

Home-First: 4.59

Exit Velocity: 90 MPH

Arm Velocity: 78 MPH

3/4/18

5-foot-10, 155 pounds, lean, athletic frame. Average proportions, sloped shoulders, already filling out with muscle. Ran a 7.18 sixty yard dash. Sets up in the box with an even stance and wide base. The hands work slightly above the shoulders with separation from the body, with the bat in ready position. The swing is level, tailored towards a line drive approach to all fields. Made quality contact in the cage and his tee exit velocity was clocked at 82 MPH. The swing is quiet, without much extraneous movement. Gets solid hip rotation and swings through the ball. Could potentially develop the power to hit gap-to-gap. As an infielder, Santerre throws from a ¾ slot. There is some quick twitch to his actions in the field and the glove works well. His throws across the diamond reached 75 MPH and there may be more in the tank. Should have the ability to fit in defensively anywhere in the infield. Shows feel for backhand and was under control on each play throughout the workout. Solid double play turns. Entering his junior season, Santerre should be in line for a solid high school season. Showing the same bat-to-ball skills against live pitching and defensive versatility would do well for his recruitment stock. He’s someone to keep an eye on with the potential to make strides during this critical season.

Sixty Yard Dash: 7.18

Tee Exit Velocity: 82 MPH

Arm Velocity: 75 MPH
